“Life is not a dress rehearsal”

Inspired by that quote from a dear friend,

  • Live life to the fullest, as it is precious

  • Seize opportunities

  • Overcome perceived barriers

What needs attention in your life?

Life altering transitions

Having experienced significant changes myself, I understand the

  • challenges and the opportunities they bring

  • how doubts, questions and obstacles emerge

  • benefits of coaching and therapy for discerning clarity, and direction.

My biggest life changes

  • overcoming mistrust of others due to youth traumas

  • divorce

  • coming out as gay

Other major changes in life

  • second long-term relationship

  • managing and growing a career with increasing responsibilities and influence

  • moving and working in different countries

I strive to help others awaken their energy and capacity to set sail to thriving in life and work, just as I have transformed my own existence beyond survival to a state of thriving

Thriving Third Act Leader

Retired from EY, now identifying as a Third Act Leader making use of my skills and experience, I have a portfolio of professional activities reflecting my commitment to thriving for others

  • Transition Coach helping individuals navigate the choppy waters of transitions in life and work, to chart a course and Set Sail to Thriving

  • Board Member (profit and not-for-profit entities)

  • Community Builder (entrepreneurial mentorship and advocacy).

Being in my Third Act I continue to

  • Grow and learn as a curious person striving to live authentically without fear, shame, reservation or hesitation

  • Have a strong commitment of creating positive change to foster a sense of belonging for everyone, especially for 2SLGBTQI+ people and others who face stigma

  • Enjoy new adventures

  • Pursue interests, including travel, film festivals, cuisine, and wines

  • Practice generosity in some way every day

  • Value sabbath, a day of rest every week

  • Have fun or create it

  • Volunteer leader in various community and faith-based settings

How can we collaborate together?

Spiritual

I tap into my spiritual self through the cycle of nature, preferably lakeside or by a sea shore - a daily opportunity at sunrise and then gratitude for another day at sunset,

Professional career

While my career was mostly based in Toronto serving Canadian-based clients, I also held executive leadership roles in New York City from 2015 to 2020 and in Paris from 1987 to 1990.

  • Adept at successfully navigating many different cultures and diverse working styles given the international and domestic settings of my career

  • Advisor to numerous clients ranging from global public entities to entrepreneurial businesses and leading many diverse projects

  • Held a number of leadership roles for risk management within EY’s assurance service line and for talent change initiatives

  • Mentored and coached innumerable EY staff and partners

  • CPA (Chartered Professional Accountant) since 1983

  • Named “Fellow” (FCPA) in 2013, a peer distinction that is the highest honour conferred upon a select few members by CPA Ontario. Recognized for distinguished leadership to the CPA profession, community, and EY’s LGBTQ+ network.
